With more and more global fashion houses becoming conscious of their environmental effect, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors have joined Gucci in going fur-free in 2018. By next month, both brands intend to action the policy with it removed in its entirety at the conclusion of the year.
The positive development for the brands follows a PETA protest at a Michael Kors interview at the MET in June 2017.
Chief Executive Officer of Michael Kors, John Idol, confirmed the announcement to the World Wildlife Fund, with Jimmy Choo also taking on the policy after being acquired by Michael Kors in 2017.
Armani, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger have also ceased using fur in their collections.
