One of Australia’s premier exports on the global fashion market, Zimmermann showed their AW19 collection at New York Fashion Week and did not miss a beat of their flouncy, feminine charm. One of only a handful of Australian designers to showcase during the week-long presentation of the latest in ready-to-wear fashion for the coming season.
With the makings of a typical Zimmermann collection- the frilled details, lace abundance and girlish colour palates- the collection stunned with delicate brocading and intricate applique, complimented with snakeskin boots and complimenting corsets. With a nod to androgyny, delicate suiting featured along the runway with ruffled sleeves peering through the opening of suit jacket arms.
Contrasting textures and patterns walked together on models with silk a favoured fabric of the Australian design duo. Guests overlooking the collection included Australian model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, entrepreneur and socialite Olivia Palermo, actress Katie Holmes and Danish model Nina Agdal.

First Look: UNBRIDLED, Fall 2018. “For Fall, our muse is a youthfully adventurous Victorian era woman, she lives in oppressive surroundings, but finds freedom and a chance for mischief in her horse and her riding. This is her escape and it takes her to where she wants to go, to where fun and trouble can be found. I wanted to celebrate a free spirit.” xNz #UNBRIDLED #Fall18 #nyfwzimmermann #zimmermann
